Students should:
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student aid (FAFSA), and mail it to the address shown on the form. Students must specify in the appropriate section that they will be attending Surry Community College. SCC's Title IV school code is 002970. Students completing the FAFSA before March 15 may be considered for the North Carolina Student Incentive Grant. After completing the FAFSA, students will receive a Student Aid Report from the Federal Processing Center. Students may also complete the FAFSA online at www.fafsa.edu.gov.
- Submit all copies of the Student Aid Report to the Financial Aid Office immediately, or notify the office in writing of plans to attend SCC. The report will allow the aid office to determine what types of aid students are eligible for and what amounts of aid they may receive.
- Complete a Surry Community College Application for Financial Aid and return it to:
Financial Aid Office
Surry Community College

Students with incomplete files will be required to use personal funds for tuition assistance through the FACTS deferred payment plan. Subsequent eligibility may allow for reimbursement after the semester begins.
