Funds are available to students who have a need for child care while attending Surry Community College. Students must have a completed Financial Aid file and have need as determined by the results from the FAFSA.
Qualified students must be a North Carolina resident and have at least 6 seated credit hours; distance education students are ineligible. Students can not receive outside assistance and be eligible for this grant.
This type of aid is a monthly reimbursement for a portion of the student’s child care expenses. All paperwork must be completed and turned in on time in order to receive the reimbursement.
Students applying for the NC Child Care Grant must complete the proper forms and submit them to the Financial Aid office to be considered for this program.
