Online Education to Go Course Information

What are Ed2Go courses?

Ed2Go courses are convenient, highly informative courses available for students to take in the comfort of their homes. Many of these classes are computer related; however, courses are also available in other areas including accounting, administrative assistant fundamentals, speed Spanish, GRE preparation, genealogy, grant writing, and education.

Online, instructor-led courses start each month and run for 6 weeks consisting of 12 lessons.  Two additional weeks are added at the end of the course in case extra time is needed to complete the course. Tuition cost is $66 for each course.

How do I register:

Step 1: Find the course you are interested in taking!  Browse the Ed2Go course catalog to find the course.  All you need is Internet access, an email address and a Web browser. (Click the hardware & software link to review the prerequisites.)

Step 2: Register and pay tuition with SCC!  Click the "On-Line Registration Form" link.  Print the registration form, fill in the information, and either mail (SCC, 630 South Main Street, Dobson, NC 27017 ATTN: Margie Johnson) or deliver it with your tuition payment to the Continuing Education Office at least three days prior to the class start date.  You will need to review the on-line course schedule to find some of the course information needed to complete your registration form.

Step 3: Do the quick Online Orientation! Go to www.ed2go.com/sccce and click on the Orientation link. This is a quick process to assign your username and password.

Step 4: Start and complete all lessons! On the start date of your course, go to the classroom link and log into your course.  New lessons are released at 3pm each Wednesday and Friday.  Be sure to take the quiz on each lesson and complete the final exam at the end of the course.

Will I receive a certificate when I finish?

Yes! You will be mailed a Surry Community College certificate two weeks after the completion of the course.
