Seeking Skills - Human Resources Development (HRD)
What is HRD?
Human Resources Development was designed to assist unemployed
or underemployed adults find meaningful work. If you are unemployed,
having trouble finding a job, or keeping a job, the HRD program
can
help you explore interests, and opportunities in the world of
work, learn job finding skills, gain meaningful employment,
or begin further
training.
Fifteen and sixteen hour classes available:
Developing interviewing skills
Personal resume development (continuous update)
Developing job leads
Job placement
More intense brush up for job search:
Applications
Interviewing tips
Resumes
Identification of strengths and weaknesses
Stress management
Communication Skills
Goal Setting
Classes are offered at the Workforce Development Center, the Yadkin
Center and on the campus of Surry Community College.
