EMS 3041: The BTLS Course is designed to increase
the knowledge and skill level of the emergency medical technician
in assessing and treating any trauma-related injury. Much of the
material in this course is not covered in the initial EMT or EMT-I
course. It is designed for the student to better recognize possible
trauma injuries due to mechanism of injury, better assess the patient
and more aggressively treat shock and trauma in general.
Total hours: 16.
Must have a minimum of 15 students to start this class.
