In addition, I am a Gulf War veteran and a member of the Four Way Fire Department. I look forward to being of service to the SCC community of students this year.

I am a member of other clubs such as PBL, Paralegal Club, and the North Carolina Paralegal Association. I look forward to having a successful year with the Student Government Association.
Secretary - Kayla Norman
Hi, my name is Kayla Norman. I am the Secretary for SGA. This is my fourth year at Surry. I will graduate in May with a degree in Medical Office Administration and a certificate in Office Administration.
When I graduate I hope to get a job in a doctor's office or hospital, possibly in Winston-Salem. I am also the secretary of the Surry chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP). I am proud to be a student at Surry Community College with wonderful instructors who are helping me succeed every step of the way.
Treasurer - Krista Williamson
Hi fellow Knights! I have completely enjoyed my time here at SCC so far, and I am delighted to be the current Treasurer of the SGA 2009 - 2010. I also served as Treasurer for the Cosmetology Club and I am a member of our local chapter Alpha Xi Tau of the International Honor Society, Phi Theta Kappa. I am currently in my third semester here, and plan to graduate spring 2011 with my AAS degree in Cosmetology. However, I should be able to get my NC State Board of Cosmetology license by spring 2010; I am very excited about that.
I have a friend that owns an established salon that I will be partnering up with once I get my license. I will be able to fulfill a passion that I have to own a business where I can help instill confidence in people by making them look and feel important!
I also plan to earn my AAS degree in Business Administration or an AS degree and transfer to Gardner-Webb University to earn a BS in Business Administration. I didn't have the chance to earn a degree as a young person, but at age 39, SCC and their programs are helping to make my dreams come true! Thanks, SCC!!!
Parliamentarian - Heather Hutchins

I am very strong in my faith and I am surrounded by wonderful family and friends who have always supported me in everything that I have wanted to do. I am very excited to be working with SGA this year and I am interested to see what this year brings.
